1.1 PROJECT LOCATION

Egypt Islamic Cultural Center is located in New Administrative Capital of EYGPT, it exists in the middle of the governmental district, it is bounded by Sahet El-Shaab and road 11 from one side and Mohamed ben Zayed from the other side. The project penetrates the heart of Downtown.

1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1.2.1 Project Information

The Egypt Islamic Cultural Center is located on the middle of the New Administrative Capital on a plateau 24 meters high in the middle of the government district, where the project overlooks from the south side the Green River and from the north side the presidential axle and Sahet El-Shaab, where the mosque accommodates a total of 107,000 prayer.

1.2.3 Graduation Project Scope

Egypt Mosque is selected to be our case study on graduation project.

▪ Egypt Mosque:

It has 3 main entrances topped with Islamic domes in addition to a fourth service entrance and the mosque consists of a praying square with an area of 9600 square meters and a capacity of 12,000 prayers topped by a main Islamic dome with an internal diameter of 29.5 meters, and 6 halls (each hall is 350 square meters) and each hall topped with a Muslim dome and the mosque has different service spaces.

The domes extend descending from the main prayer hall to the secondary halls (8 domes) and then the entrances (12 domes), which are the smallest of them. The total area of the mosque is 19100 m2, the number of prayers in the upper square: 40
thousand prayers, the number of prayers in the lower yard: 55,000, the total number of prayers is 107,000.
